Swing Spectacular with CORONATION STREET star Holly Quin-Ankrah and Jeff Hooper
TV star Holly Quin-Ankrah (Corrie's Cheryl Gray) will be making a special guest appearance here at The Sands Venue for The Swing Spectacular.
While Holly has been busy with her acting career in both Coronation Street and Grange Hill, where she played the role of Karen Young, she has also been in great demand as a singer.
Holly is an outstanding vocal talent. Effortlessly slipping from one genre to another with such a smouldering ease and sexy style that makes it understandable that major record companies are hot on her trail.
Joining Holly on this special evening will be Welsh big band singer and entertainer Jeff Hooper.
Making his eagerly awaited return to The Sands Swing Spectacular, Jeff brings his own unique style, warmth and humour to the evening.
Affectionately regarded by the current crop of swing singers to be the "Godfather of Swing", Jeff honed his talents working with the famous Syd Lawrence Orchestra and has performed with artists such as Matt Monroe, Morecambe and Wise and Stephane Grappelli.
Accompanied by our resident 7-piece swing band, led by Neil Shatliff, they will be performing classic hits from Etta James, Jack Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Matt Monroe, Michael Bublé and many more.
